Ill see what I can do and heres an update for you: compression test was an epic fail dad cant find his kit so he cleaned the dizzy cap rotor and the brass plate thing as well as the inside of the distributer run alot better has the normal skip to it so Im thinking plug wires are def in order will update when I do them. This skip is getting annoying tho its always had one so Im not really sure what the cause is.

The rotor itself normally doesn't wear out and can be cleaned. If it is not pitted or wore out, I just re-use it. That's why many companies sell them separately.
PS: its a very common cause of "missing" on acceleration

Don't bother cleaning the distributor cap. its cheap and needs to be replaced. Brass is better than aluminum contacts but new aluminum is better than old worn out brass.

Engine won't run if either of those is defective. (it may run for a bit until the sensor warms up then........ crank crank crank... nothing)

Its the Camshaft position sensor under there. Its used in conjunction with the Crankshaft position sensor to remove the 180deg ambiguity when firing. They sense by induction (magnetic detector)
