Highway sputter

Jeep runs great in town but when on the highway right around 55-60 mph I will get a small sputter every now and then, dosent do it all the time, sometimes you have to watch the tachometer to to know its doing it at all and other times its very noticeable...any ideas?...jeep is a 92 xj 4.0 auto trans

Could be a sensor needs adjusting/cleaning/replacing. Might be o2 related. But either way its probably a fuel delivery issue caused by bad sensor, so a code reader first, but maybe new TPS, IAC valve or o2 sensor. Good luck.

While you're cleaning the throttle body to get at the IAC and TPS (don't forget to test the TPS with a multimeter, preferably analog) check the vacuum tube that runs to your MAP, located on the firewall.
