Ill try Cruiser's method of adjusting the butterfly then. Thanks for your help. Maybe it will stop raining soon so I can get out there.

No go. It's severely under powered now and the RPMs didn't change. And my oil pressure is through the roof.

For those of you who read my first post, I said that there was a time that my RPM hung around 800-900. The ONLY thing I had done different then was put Exxon octane 93 ethanol free in with some Lucas injector cleaner. I know this is a huge shot in the dark, but I just went and filled up with that to see if anything will change. I had about 5 gallons of regular in there though. I also added some MMO I had lying around.
I can't afford a new TB right now, since it's clear the bushings on mine are shot, so this is all I've got. I'll keep y'all updated and I really appreciate all the help!

Didnt read the whole thread, but high idle could be a vacuum leak anywhere

Yeah that one has been beaten to death. The space between the TB and the throttle bracket has a leak. Confirmed with carb cleaner.

This could be a silly question, but why are the chances the tach is just broken and the engine is fine?

It's not. You're idling high. I've heard and seen that with my own eyes and ears. I think the throttle body is the culprit still.

I still saying Iac issue ...but im not there . cant reach thru screen. Have you disconnected battery yet for about a half hour then hook backup and start, It solved other strange issues b4 members have stated.

It's sucking carb cleaner around the throttle shaft bushings. Yup.
