Default High Miles Maintenance

Coming home the other day I looked down and the odometer read 199,991!! I was 200,010 when I arrived. Its a 2000. So, I got to thinking, what can I do (General maintenance, etc...)to keep it around for another 200k?

+1 for staying on top of fluids and tune-ups. Check your hoses and vacuum lines occasionally as well as they can start to show their age. I've got 268,000 on mine and she runs like a champ! Not even an oil leak yet

It is hard for us to tell you exactly what to do, because we don't know the HISTORY of routine maintenance.

In general, fresh plugs are important. You have a coil pack system so no distributor cap, plug wires, or rotor.

Fresh fluids are CRITICAL, as they are the lifeblood of your vehicle. That means oil, coolant, transfer case, differentials, transmission.

Cooling system maintenance is important on any vehicle, but it is extra important on the 00-01 as they have the factory 0331 head, which is prone to cracking between cylinders 3-4 if the engine is overheated or cooling system maintenance ignored. That means FRESH HOSES! I just troubleshot an engine that was toast after an overheat due to a $10 hose.
