Not really concerned about over cooling it, there’s maybe 7 days worth of below freezing temps a year where I’m at.
You can do a drain and fill right now if you want. The fluid is mixed together.

Shift firmness is controlled by the cable from the throttle body to the transmission. Make sure it's adjusted properly. I'm too lazy at the moment to google it but there are a bunch of YouTube videos out there,

It shifts good now. But just want a firmer snappier shift. Drive a Chevy truck with stock servos and then drive one with vette servos. The transition between the gears is cut down by half or more. Basically a super easy shift kit. Since you don’t have to drop the valve body.

But, have you properly adjusted the TV cable yet?

I haven't yet, I'll do it when I get around to installing that bigger cooler later this week, but I may try this next time I do a drain/fill if it lasts that long. lol

The valve body has to come out to do that kit. I have one sitting on my shelf that I never installed.

Do yourself a favor and adjust the TV cable first. 2 minute job.

After I adjust it will it hurt anything to put an extra click of tension on it to up the pressure? I did that in my v8 Sonoma with the 700r4 and it helped a little, been running it like that for years.

I find it curious that some of the reviews are claiming a shift kit is making it shift 1->2 earlier or holding 1st longer on a transmission that is electronically controlled.
