I didn't even think about the injector o-rings for the vacuum leak... That might be my problem too. Mine just started leaking, and I assumed that it was because I whacked it when I replaced the water pump. Come to think of it, it's in the same spot where I suspected the exhaust leak. My 703 injectors are on the way, so hopefully that will take care of it. Thanks for the info!

Just squeeze the hose shut with pliers. You'll know right away if that's causing the vacuum leak.

LOL, it might! There is a line that runs from the brake booster on the firewall to the intake manifold. If you squeeze it shut with a pair of pliers and your idle drops, you have a leak in the brake booster.

Now we might be getting somewhere. Only one hose, a rubber one, that goes where John said above^^.

Ok, so to bring this dead thread back to life..

1. i cleaned the iac (gently)
2. i adjusted the tps (just by ear, didnt have my meter with me)
3. Tightened one manifold bolt, but im sure there is more.

after thanksgiving
1. Squish vac line near brake booster
2. gunna squish the line when i remove my proportion valve

ok, so after all of this i went through and found out the ratchet i was using was jammed some how, thank you SNAP ON -_-

so i tightened one mani bolt, seafoamed the intake mani, and let it sit.... smoked like CRAZY!!!!

but yes, the idle is now at a semi comfy 1100 max now, fully warmed up at about 900-1000... not bad for by ear eh? lol

THANK YOU alll!!! when it stops dumping buckets of freezing water outside i will be back to check it all with the meter and tighten the rest of them
