Default Old school vacuum leak check

some one else just went thru this ended up being the throttle linkage was bent .Dont no if thats also your issue ,simple way to check for vacuum leaks is, remove air tube from throttle body with motor running, cover throttle body with palm of you hand blocking off all air .If xjj stalls no vacuum leaks if it does not youve got a leak/
.

Spray the intake manifold where it meets the head, all the vacuum lines, where the throttle body meets the manifold etc.

Good thought. Someone else on another forum found the setscrew had been screwed with by some PO.

He still needs to spray for vacuum leaks anyway.

I suggest snugging up the intake bolts just cuz they have a tendency to work loose. Work from the center out toward both ends with the engine cold. We checked them at every 30K tuneup at the dealership because it was so common.

I found a vacuum leak at a bad injector O ring a few weeks ago. Spraying it, it seemed like the intake manifold. (that's how I found the O ring, changing the gasket)

Start spraying around with carb cleaner and see what you find.
