High compression
I recently bought an XJ. I ran a compression test after it had very poor acceleration, however my lowest was 160 and highest was 180. This seems high from what I’ve read, but why would it still struggle to get to 60? Yes the tires are stock height

Hi, Username2. Welcome to the forum!
Those numbers are fine. Your acceleration problem is something else. What tests have you done? What's the history on the poor acceleration? Was it that way when you bought it?

yes, the only changes I’ve made are the complete rebuild of the front suspension and brakes!
