For those of us in the UK, HID kits are not legal.

autozone has them for 19.99 a piece

or u can do a semi sealed beam conversion with silver star ultra bulbs (h4) and that would be legal in the UK plus u would have a great amount of light.... if you are gonna use anything besides HIDs u should really rewire the power supply wires to the bulbs you will be surprised how much more light u get

Don't use the headlamp delay sequence anymore because if the relay contacts "weld" then it can result in an electrical fire.

How do you turn off / Disable the headlight delay?

I installed HIDs in my XJ a few months ago. I purchased the Xentec 6000k HID kit for $40 and it was plug and play. As for the housings, I got the Seal Beam Projectors with "city lights" off ebay for $20. they don't have high beams but you dont need them with HIDs. They have been working flawlessly

Alright, I'm semi-retarded, what part number or numbers do I need from NorCalMR2 to do a conversion in an XJ? Cause if I am reading this and checking there site correctly, it looks to cost around $570 which is way more than I wanna spend.

I really want to get a set of these for my 98, does anyone have any experience with their products/does it look like a good enough deal?

The ones I got for $20 off ebay work great! The cutoff line is clean and everything so I guess I just got lucky or something?

What I did was felt around until I found the plug because I could feel the ticking. Once you find it, unplug it, and enjoy off and on hids.
I just unplugged my headlight/door buzzer and I never had one problem it was awesome

I unplugged the buzzer module that goes off whenever you open the doors or leave the headlights on by accident.
Its located on the fusebox in the driver's footwell

Its not that much what i would recommend doing is buy the projector housing from norcal with the angel eye thats $175 Then go to DDMTuning.com and buy A HID KIT from either Baja Or DDMtuning.com The kits on DDM are $35 and relays (which i highly Reccomend) Are $15 hich comes out way lower than you thought. even if you dont go this route and buy the kit in full from norcal its $280 the only thing you need after that is to go to your local hardware store and buy longer screws
