Best HID set up I have seen http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoBiXenonProjectors.htm

Personally I didn't want too get into all the fab work so I went w/a good quality H4, Cibie, headlamp check out the difference between 55/60 (DOT legal) and a stock sealed beam.

simple plug and play, great service and super fast shipping. you get that bluish purple gay crap from the higher kelvin not because your using the wrong housing or have them aimed wrong.

This confusing!
I've got a UK spec cherokee with H4 bulbs fitted as standard so I could stick an H4 HID kit in there without much hassle - but the headlights don't look to be projectors. Does anyone know of any projector lights suitable for a cherokee that I could look at? Can I just install them upside down to make them suitable for RH drive?

Are the headlight housings on most Cherokees 7"x6" and do those 240sx headlamp assemblys fit in a Cherokee then?

I found some on eBay that say they fit and some that also say they fit these models...
This item fits all vehicles listed in this table it says, but why wouldn't it fit the 92 4door 4.0L?

Default Solutions?

I have the same issue. I turn off the headlights then the ignition. Headlights stay on for about a minute then flicker themselves for about 5 seconds at the end and eventually go off.

I have the high/low bi-xenons. Is a relay necessary? What one would we need?

is this needed:

Did anyone ever find/post a solution?

The lights are bright as hell though, gotta say after driving around with those stock Wegners I needed something bright. Especially in these dome killing MN blizzards.

Those "Projectors" your seeing on fleabay are not try brojectors, just a regular housing with a glass disk in front of the bulb to give off the appearance of a projector, it still depends on the reflection of the rest of the housing to really put out the light.

To Fix flickering off HID lamps:

There is a plug under the dash that is for shutting off your headlights automatically. Weather or not you have this option, its there. The easiest way to find it is shut the head lights off (While HIDS are installed) and go under the drivers side dash and listen for a ticking. its a relay basically that you need to un-plug. What I did was felt around until I found the plug because I could feel the ticking. Once you find it, unplug it, and enjoy off and on hids.

so if u want the flickering to go off u have to pull out the relay for the lights. or u have to turn the lights off before u turn the car off. very simple plug and play system. only thing is i should have paid more to get the BI xenons because right now i do not have high beams.

Default Light flicker

Well I can try and unplug the relay, but I found a solution. If turn on the brights, then push in the plunger and turn off the lights, then turn off the ignition all the lights go out with no flicker. Then I can simply pull the brights lever back to normal and the lights stay off.

Default Headlight adjustment

I do have question now that I have these HID's in. When I take the cover off the headlights there are two star type screws. Are these for alignment of the headlights. I would like to make sure I do have the high intensity light aligned properly so that it is not shining at eye level of oncoming drivers.

I did by 7x6 projector headlights to keep things kosher and must say the light output of these 6k's is incredible. A very clean bright white, I am pleased with my $100 expenditure. The bright that it produces is nowhere near as bright as the low beam. Almost no need for the brights with these so don't fret if you didn't go bi-xenon.

This fixed that problem on my 87. Mine did the same exact thing.

I have a couple things to say first off i would like to say before i had my jeep i had a '93 240sx and i did the semi sealed bulb conversion.. then i proceeded to put a bixenon kit for hi/low HIDs (with projector lens) thing looked great... great light.. i took out my HID kit in my 240sx and in the process of my one mistake i ruined one of the bulbs.. I decided to remove the kit but keep the coinversion. i the proceeded to auto zone and bought a pair of the silverstar ultra bulbs and install them ... still great bulbs and great light....... i have also tried the regular sealed beam silverstars.

conclusion

BOTH ARE AWESOME....except the sealed beams...but are still good (NICE TO HAVE WHEN OFF ROAD).....

i have almost all the options and maybe i should do a write up of different bulb types... either way its personal preference.

i just installed a HID kit from ebay that i have used on 240sx it works great and is cheap not to mention u can easily swap sealed beams back in if you ever want or even just put in a replaceable bulb.

any questions plz ask

i can give pics
if requested

as for light difference between the silverstar ultras and the HIDs... i will do some more research and do a test because with my current kit i could have one of each installed at the same time ..............i have also used silver star ultra bulbs in my motorcycle and they rock ....
