hey all im looking for some ideas of where to mount a hi lift jack .. like on the stock roof rack some how .. any help here would be great .tring to save some cash here as im saving for a winch bumper .. OR hows those mounts brakets for mounting it on the hood ? price wise?

I think the 4xrac mount is like 30 bones. Save your money and run a couple of bolts through the bottom of the stock rack so you can mount it length wise. I'm thinking the bolts would go through the numerous holes in the shaft of the jack. Slap on some wing nuts and your set. You could even go as far as to slide rubber tubing over the bolts to cut down on metal vs metal contact rattle. Hope this helps!

 

I had pulled the 4xrac set up off my old jeep when it was hit by a drunk driving at night in front of the house. I had it mounted to the rear bumper, which also acted as a pretty nice step up to the roof rack whenever i needed.

 

i mounted mine on the hood with some all thread and some lock nuts and fender washers it was super cheap and looks bad ***

 

That sucks it got labeled by a drunk! Dangerous people on the road!

 

Well that is vegas for ya! Hope you find what you are looking for on the mount. I might have a better picture.

 

Our not worried about it getting smashed or busted up when wheeling with it on the rear bumper. I would destroy that on mine when wheeling. I put mine on the roof rack using some althread some washers nuts and wing nuts.

 

mines mounted in the rear of my xj on top of my storage box works nice
