This morning I started her up and let it warm up. I had to take the trash to the curb and my car pool buddy drove it down my drive way. He got out, i climbed in and put it in to drive and it died!!! Would not start, didn't have enough time to look at it had to get to work.
So question, could the coil be giving me these fits?? Since last night we fixed the wire next to it? Im going to check out plugs and clean them. I think a "how to test the coil" is in my haynes manul. I need to atleast get it drivable. I can live with the hesitation for now. This jeep is driving me nuts and of course the wife. She is telling me to sell it as it is. Don't want to get rid of my jeep.

Because I'd heard coil can fail when hot I tried putting the freezy thing for my ankle, on my coil when I'd turn off my jeep to duck in a store. Didn't help, that heat shield would still short the injector wire. YES check it. I had thought it was on the list in post #1.

If it didn't have a computer to blame, then what?
Back to basics.
Sounds like the coil is breaking down.
Try this - pull a plug wire at the plug and hold it near ground. The spark HAS TO BE A THIN BLUE CRISPY SPARK at least 1/2" long! Yellow, red, buzzing, short - replace coil.
Even then, it still could be the coil - they are famous for giving the symptoms you describe.
Try swapping with someone else's, or - they are not expensive. Get a STOCK ONE from a real part house, not Chinese junk from AutoZone - and don't fall for aftermarket bull!

Thank you all for all you replies. I have a small delay on trying to fix the hesitation problem. Now I have a fusible link/wiring problem. I have been looking at my haynes wiring diagram but I don't think its detailed enough to tell me where this darn wire goes. So as soon I get it running again I will check that coil out. If anyone knows of a good place for a detail wiring diagram I would be so thankful.

I hope you figure this out. I've got a similar problem with my 90', mainly bogging down at take off and starting problems. I've chased things similar to what you have done but no help. You would think as simple as they are that it would be simple to fix. Is there any comment from the Jeep people?

Numerous different things can cause similar driveability issues. There is no "silver bullet" cure or "one size fits all" cure.
The basics need to be done first and they cost little or no money to do. A $10 multimeter and some downloads off the internet allow you to test sensors, grounds etc.
Have you ever done any of this?

AN UPDATE: on my problem. I have finally got her up and running again. Still have hesitation. Going to borrow a friends compression tester, and also, as soon as the weather lets up, going to test the coil. I will let ya know what I find out.
If anyone has anything else PLEASE feel free to let me know. Several heads are better then one. Thanks again everyone.

I was directing my comment to jeffasmi the hijacker, not you!!! I know pretty much what you've been doing.
94 was known for bad coils. Check yours and get the brand name off of it for me, wouldya?
Jeffasmi, have YOU done the basics like ground refreshing, TPS testing, cleaning the throttle body, connector refreshing, basic tune-up etc etc?

Books tell you to Ohms test them. Most bad coils will test good that way. What goes bad with them is the high voltage shorts out - you'll never find it with an Ohmmeter.

Compression problems will be obvious at all speeds, not just some.
This type of problem has been on vehicles long before the word "computer" or "sensor" were ever coined.
Simply put - you are running out of ignition!
Why is it the least understood and the most obscured is always to blame?
