Help! Before I go crazy! Can't for the life of me figure out where the Plastic Pink Vacuum hose goes to on my 2.8LV6! Looked at this sucker for about a 1/2 hour and still can't figure it out. Somebody with this motor has got to know where this goes. Please? I do know the black one goes to one of the soup cans.I thought I did feel vacuum at the end at one point so I plugged it up anyway.There isnt one manual that covers this side of the engine bay as far as Vacuum hoses go that I could find. Not even the Factory service manual. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

No offense but it doesnt. Can you find the Pink Plastic line in there? I can't. This is what I was talking about with the worthless manuals. They forgot to include the vacuum lines from the distributor over to the passenger side.

 

It's your heater controller line. If you look very carefully, I've circled the place where it plugs in.

But now that it's been stretched out by a golf tee, don't know how good it's going to seal.

 

Haha I've been trying to figure out where this damn pink line goes as well. I'll take a look later today and see if I can find that black things where it plugs in. I knew it was something to do with the heater because if it's blocked, then the heat is constantly blowing (to a point). I'll keep you guys updated. By the way, what is it that it plugs into.

I have the 4.0, but I think the heater setup's the same.

 

Mine is pluged into a blue vacume line next to the blower motor

 

Wow! Thanks man, that is a weight off of my shoulders. I have been stressing out about this for a week. Thanks again and I will try to find away to get it to seal.

 

No problem. I just had to fix my heater controller and pulled the pink line off and put it back on last week.
