ok so mt 87 wont stop squeaking ive replaced the idile pullie and check everyone to see if the was any bindage and the only one the squeaks is the alt and i dont want to spend the 100+ bucks and it not work any ideas on how to test if its that or not.

 

Popping and backfireing is timeing. Check to make sure the dowle didnt strip in the gear on thr distributer. Ive worked for chrysler for 3.5 years and have seen this happen offten. Turn the engine over with the cap off to see if the rottor is turning.......?Trick

Its just sweaking like its a bad pullie

 

and a little of grinding somtimes

 

After 2.5 yrs im back!! Had a mechanic friend of mine get it running right again. Think I just fell in love with it all over again.
