Default Help Please...>Electrical Issues...no start, no wipers, no turn signals...WTF...Now..

Ran fine earlier today.

Just got done putting the seats back in the car. Took it for a test run earlier today (had the driver's seat in and the trim after putting the floor replacement...16ga steel, sealant, & Herculiner). Got home after working this PM, put the rear seat in and the front passenger seat.

Now no start..no clicking, no fuel pump buzz on turning the key.

Seems electrical as the wipers don't work, the turn signals don't work either. The headlights do work, the brake lights do work, and the buzzer when the key is in and the door is open runs.

Any ideas on which wires to parts to look at?

It's a '95 Auto 6 cyl.

One addenda...twice on turning the key got it to crank for a second or two...wasn't intentional (was just turning the key to start for a second...wasn't sitting properly in the seat or had my foot on the gas either). One time had bumped the shifter to R then back to Park and it cranked for a second or two. Other time, didn't do anything specific.

Did clean the battery terminals to be sure it wasn't just corrosion.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Update 5/26....WTF...Now it works. I decided to hop into it on the way in the door from work. Nothing....still no power. Push hard on the brake, shift from P to R then back to P. Try again...works fine?

Stopped it after it ran for a few minutes...then started it again with no problems....

Even if it's working fine...I'd still like to figure out what's going on so it won't leave me stranded...

Thanks!

Default Sorry, should add..

I did pull the large (60A) and small 15a ignition fuses and didn't see any problems with them.

The battery is fully charged (hooked a charger up to it and no issues). The starter is brand new as is the battery (and alternator and belt and radiator and water pump...).

Thanks!

Best I can guess is something in the fuse box or area you were working got messed up. Trace the circuit that DON"T work, maybe you find the problem.

Default No Kicky...

At least that I know.

Worked before I put the rear seat and passenger side front seat in (just the bolts)...so I wasn't really near any front wiring.

I don't recall bumping or kicking any wires (but I'll check and see if I can find any with problems.

To the poster that asked....on 'accessory' the wipers don't work either.

The ignition does seem to get power (from the buzzing when the key is inserted and the door is still opened).

Anyone know if the problem parts (starter, wipers, turn signals) are on the same circuit? At the battery, there are 3 connections (to the positive) one looks like a prior owner's add on, but two fairly thick red wires with plastic accordion wiring shields on them...

Thanks!

Default Went to try something else...

No lights on putting it in reverse and no blower motor either.

Have to wonder if it is the ignition as pretty much everything mentioned requires the key to be in the on position before running.

How to check (or pull the switch)?

Thanks!
