hi all,

please can someone tell me where the airbag control module is located, before an after its recall change, mine is a 1997 jeep cherokee 4.0, im in the uk if this makes any differants.

as my airbag light is on and my dash is not working,

i have rang a near jeep dealer, an they have said it has been done, but someone said that it hasn't an there just trying to get out of the free repair, lol

Airbag control module should be under your center console.

I am unaware of any recall that calls to move the module...

mine is under passanger seat (left side),

i read there is a recall for this part on a 1997 jeep cherokee sport,

thanks, that second one was good, ive read so many an still abit confused,

im starting to think now buy reading that that the dealer was lieing to me as my module is under the seat, i'll look into it a bit more before i call them,

my light is on all the time, i un plug module an nothing happens,

Don't know if its just the light that bugs you or if you want to fix your airbag. If the light bugs you, just pull out your instrument gauge cluster and right on the back is the light bulb for airbag. It's labelled. Just take a needle nose plier and turn it a bit and it comes out. No more annoying light. The trickiest part of taking out the cluster is removing the headlight ****.

the trouble is when the light is on all the dash stops working, im a bit **** with cars, i like them to be 100% right
