Start with the basics first. Year/model jeep? Describe the symptoms you're experiencing, so we can help diagnose and/or help you fix it better and more quickly.

Pull the starter and take it to your local autoshop and have them put it on a tester. The solenoid could be out, in which case you just replace the whole unit. Costs about $60 after core charge and takes about an hour to replace, tops...
That, of course, is if it checks out bad on the tester. Because it's so easy to get off, and because I hate wasting time troubleshooting, that's where I'd start and rule out the solenoid being bad first, then troubleshoot backwards from there if that's not the case.
Just a suggestion though.
EDIT: Reading is fundamental, I should remember that. You said you're not getting power TO the solenoid... are you sure about that? That would, of course, invalidate my suggestion

The ign switch can be adjusted with the 2 screws that mount it to the column. The mounting holes in the switch are slotted. It can be, when you turn the key to the on position everything will come on but when you turn it further to start it won't move the ign switch far enough to engage the start circuit.
Can't remember which way the rod for the ign switch moves up or down. Put your finger on the rod from the ign lock to the ign switch and turn the key to the on position. Loosen the switch and move in the opposite direction.
