I think the puller is more for pulling the arm from the box. I used a pickle fork when I did mine.

I think it might have been 21mm but you know.....once you start working, sockets start flying fast and furious so I could be wrong.

I used a 24" breaker bar. The head pivots past 90 degrees so I was able to get it on top of the arm and on the nut with a standard depth socket.

if i can get the right size socket i will use my air gun. i think its bigger than 21mm on mine, we bought a socket that was 1 1/4" and that was still to small lol

remove the cotter key loosen the nut up so theres some space between the nut and the arm 1/2 inch is good and hit with a hammer at the sides of the pitman arn at the aerrows it should p[op loose if not a pickle fork is needed you have to hit it with a hammer not a bob the builder hammer lol

Sorry...I thought we were talking the drag link nut. Yeah...the one on the box is quite a bit bigger and an air gun (especially a good one) should make quick work of it. If you're working on getting the arm off the box, you'll probably need the puller.

use the pipe wrench you bsaid you had on the nut that holds the arm to the box the steering coloum being locked in palce will hold the arm then u use the puller to get the arm off the shaft leave the nut on bu loose so the arm dont fly off and hit you

I think it's 1 5/16", on the nut on the pitman arm. Gonna need a lot of breaking force.
