Help! Oul pan gasket leak..

Default Help! Oul pan gasket leak..

Hey guys I am in the army in Germany I leave in about a month... I just replaced a lot of parts to include the oil pan gasket and its leaking again up front right under the pulley...the front lip.... The gasket seemed tight there do they all? Or did I get the wrong one? Can I remove it and rtv the hell outta it? I just need it to not leak til it gets past inspection and on the boat to ship back to colorado...please help!!!!

Sure its not the balancer/crank shaft seal?

Yes it's coming from the lip of oil pan gasket and the pan itself...

Heres a old trick take a 1/4 inch extension long enough to be tapped with a hammer place the end a socket would go on in the area between bolts and hit it this will cause a slight bending of oil pan area where it contacts gasket applying more pressure to gasket .

Anybody else have done that? Just don't wanna make it worse as I don't have the time to order a new oil pan because it takes two weeks to get it since I'm in Germany and military mail is slow...
