Default Radiator help needed!!

Alright so I need some help, went to replace my radiator that has been leaking with one from a parts xj I have. They have the same pressurized system, however when I went to pull the leaky one the bottom fitting seems to have been flared inside the radiator. I can push it in but not pull it out. I can't find a way to disconnect that line! Also the radiator I pulled the bottom fitting has transmission fluid to it. The leaky one the bottom fitting seems to have coolant running to it and the line runs back toward the tranny? And the top fitting has tranny fluid. Sorry if this is vague.. Anyone have any ideas???

If the fitting you are having trouble removing is the quick disconnect on the transmission line, there is a special tool that is used to remove it.

If there is coolant in the lower transmission line, that would seem to indicate a leaky transmission cooler in the radiator.

Kinda what I figured, do you know what the tool is called? And is it disconnected on the tranny side or the radiator side? Thanks for the input! Guess I really have to change it now. What's weird is the tranny line on the one I pulled off just had a hose clamp

Don't want to steer you wrong here not being totally familiar with your closed system, however, if the fitting you are struggling with is the quick disconnect type, then any auto parts counter guy can show you the tool you need...they usually come in a set for the various different size lines (ie-- 5/16, 3/8, etc.).

Just did this a few weeks ago. It lookes like a little pipe is all it is. Makes the job a hell of a lot easier. Auto Zone had it for like 4 bucks advanced sells something a little fancier....get the cheaper one it works better for this.
