Help me decide on traction aides :)
Ok so the rig is 98xJ 4.0L D30, c8.25 29 spl...
Money IS an object...
the rig is driven 75 percent on the trail and 25 on the pavement...
welding the rear is the best price option lol, then theres always aussie locker...
and the front i cant decide between welding, lunchbox locker, or detriot truetrac... i dont really want to change the carrier but if i have to i can...
pros, cons, thoughts ideers??

Do you hear banjos?
Sounds like a trail "mostly" vehicle, I'd put autos in both front and rear. Welding is a little drastic, maybe a spool, and would be more prone to trail failure, IMHO!! HTH!! Good luck, keep us posted on what you decide. Later!!

Don't weld put a cheap lunchbox in instead. If you have a 242 t/c then you cant put a front locker in unless it is a selectable one. If you do then you lose the fulltime option.

It is on the books finally but no option to add it to your cart yet. Thay say by Thanksgiving it should be ready for shipment.

I believe lockrite has a lunch box locker for the 8.25
Aussie for the front D30.
Shop around here naxja and a few other sites. You can get them for about $200 plus shipping.
If you weld it, your looking at replacing tires more often. So its "cheaper" to do the locker lunchbox style.
If you go full locker, you have to include building of the axles with setup etc. An extra 500-700 at that point, you might as well regear it if your thinking about it. Thus you ballooned your price from 400-500 lunchbox to about 1500 ish for detroits and gears, install kits and someone to build the axles.
FYI I have held the lockrite and aussie in my hands...they are almost identical. Mild differences but work the same, engage the same...same springs same pins etc. So either works well.
