Help. Jeep died on me

Help. Jeep died on me

My 98 xj died on me the other day. But i put ether in it and pumped the gas a bunch and then it started. The shop said the fuel pump assembly is fine. What could the issue be?

How did it die? At idle? Driving?

Could be the IAC if you're pumping the pedal, letting air in since the IAC won't.

It died when i was at a stop sign. I tried to push the gas to go but it just stopped. And it ran fine after i got it re-started
