If you have tools and a chilton or haynes manual you can do it yourself.Im 17 and i'v already done it twice.(first time to replace the gasket, second time to replace the cracked manifold).And 500 is waaay to much to replace a gasket.

Check the mounting bolts on the t/b and also check your air box and the hose from the t/b to the air box. Like they said spray starting fluid around the intake ,Mind the hot exhaust though,and if it doesn't speed up the idle when you spray the intake your gasket is fine.(and yes 500.00 is way to much for that job) then spray your vacuem lines.Remember take your time,and check each hose for cracks to..g/l
