Default Help with details on Jeep

Well im trying to figure out what better options my jeep had. Heres a few pics of things im wondering about. What rear end and how to find out gear ratio, and is that a Transfer case sheild hanging out under the t-case. And sorry i think i posted in wrong thread(figured out after made it)

Skids come with factory tow package. You should have one in the front too.

Should be a tag on it. if it is missing look for the tag on the front axle.

Sweat things keep getting better and better. Sense i have the Chief option, is that were the tow package comes into play?

Ill have to do that in the morning its dark out now, were would the tag be at?

I think your right. The tag should be attached to one of the diff cover bolts if it has not rusted away.

Not necessarily. A skid package was offered on cherokees, which is different from the tow package. The tow package included a full skids, transmission cooler, and different gears , rear hitch, and i believe optional tow hooks. The skid package was just front skid, t-case skid and rear skid. There should be a tag on the rear that tells you the gears. If its 3.73 then you have the tow package.

No i wanted the 8.25... It does have a hitch but not sure if its factory

It looks like a dana 35 to me too. 8.25 wasn't offered till 1991. So it has to be a dana 35 or a 44 and its not a 44.
