Default Help with coil springs??

how are the coil springs suppose to sit ? i just got my new tires mounted and balanced and i need an alignment but they told me my springs werent sitting right. does anyone have a picture of how they should sit?? thanks!!

google is your best friend for pics. but the top just rests on the rubber cusion. the bottom has a slot that the end of the coil should line up with. its a corkscrew type of slot and some (mine does) have a clamp the bolts on to hold the last coil down to the axle... its hard to capture in a picture...

yeah from what i was googling i couldnt really see how the spring should sit. i have those clips which hold down the springs once they are in the correct position.

Did they say Why the springs weren't sitting right? I aways explain to customers so they understand not just say it's broke.

they just told me before i get it aligned i should fix the springs. i think i fixed it, the end of the coil spring looks like there is a spot that is sorta sits in. its hard to explain unless you know what im talking about.

yeah its supposed to be turned to the end of the slot the spring bottom sits in. but it seams odd they just said fix it lol. wasnt trying to be mean with my google comment, but i couldnt find one either that showed it well.

If you look at them, they are kinda self explanatory>> The top can only fit in one place, and the bottom sits on its mount with the end of the coil in the little groove?

I am working a long shift today, and wont be home until after 8pm. If you need specific pics let me know I can shoot you some of mine

i saw where the spring sits in the bottom with the grove it slides into. now just waiting for a drop pitman arm before i put my new 32s on!
