Help ASAP

I'm doing a s10 pack on my 98 XJ and some of the leaf clamps aren't going to line up to work right. so what do I do? can I get some universal clamps and do I cut off the ones that are not lining up?

last set i saw done used universal clamps....he said any truck store should have them....

im pretty sure ive seen them at autozone... big bulkey lookin things but they work! almost look like u bolts but there square...

How do the universal ones mount? The oem ones look like there welded in???
