My heater control valve just blew up. My question is can I just eliminate it by running hoses strait from to and from the heater core or not. I live in FL and if that will cause the cabin to get hot I would not do it. Just looking for some input.

Yes, you would have heat going to defrost and heater ducts without the control valve.
Unless you bypassed the Heater core entirely.. but you'd lose warm air for defrost.

Mine was plastic so I just ran strait hoses and soon will just but a small ball valve on it so when its hot out I will close it and when it cools down or I want some warm air ill just pop the hood and give it a turn.
