Can someone help me with my issue? I have a 2000 Cherokee Xj Sport. my blower fan seems to ALWAYS work the first time the XJ is started up. I can drive it for 5 minutes or 2 hours, it will continue to work. Then if it's parked for a few minutes with the engine off, that's when it decides NOT to work. So maybe something to do with heat? Though I don't feel any heat from the wires or the actual control module like others have stated. I have checked the switch, Relay and resistor for melting with no luck.

When the blower stops working like you describe, kick the bottom of the HVAC unit in the area of the blower. If it starts working again the blower is is on its way out with a mechanical defect and needs to be replaced.Originally Posted by fasta76
