headliner question
ok so i think i am going to buy the headliner kit from WLSheadliners.
i need to cover my rear speaker bar, so i wanted to know if i should buy an extra half a yard or a whole extra yard. what do you think?
also they have option for the ammount of spray adhesive you can add to your order. should i get 1 or 2 cans?
thanks in advance.

remember...gonna need a torx30 to remove the seat belt anchors....i ended up using a vise-grip with the torx ratchet adapter cause i forgot the 1/4" to 1/2" ratchet converter!....and it's easier to remove the trim starting at tailgate an moving forward....also remove the sun visors first....make sure not to get any of the fiber glass on you and try not to let it bend/fold/break... good luck!
....i did the math (including my time for screwing up!) and ended up removing and installing myself, but had an auto upholstery shop replace the headliner, sun visors and speaker bar for ~$210...don't know why, but sun visors and speaker bar cost ~$100!

I did my headline by myself using headliner glue from auto zone and fabric from joan fabrics. Got a fake suade black fabric. Looks great saved myself a ton of money from having to go through ordering the kit. Be sure to take your time

yeah... down here, sagging headliners are a way of life, specially with the older models and the freaking heat...i used the spay method for a while, like a couple of years...but it was the backing that was giving, so you need to scrape all that old crap off really well...i hate prepping and waiting for glue/paint

I have $50 into mine. (Went to the local fabric shops. They didn't have anything close to the color, I needed.) Take your time, be careful not to bend up the headliner board. (It's like a fiberglass mat.) The old glue brushes right off. (I used a stiff fiber- brush) And there's a plastic film under that. Leave the film. It's what the glue sticks to. I laid out the material over the board. leaving a couple of inches on each side to wrap around. Then I folded 1/2 half back. And start gluing the fabric in the middle. Working toward one end, at a time. Only do about six inches at a time. Let the glue tack up. (I sprayed both the fabric, and the board.) And patted it down with my hand (removing any air pockets, and wrinkles) After it was done, flipped over the board, glued, and wrapped it around the edges. Trimmed the openings, wrapped around the edges. I was very happy with the outcome, Looks like factory. Seeings how you have the sound bar. It's a good time to replace any speakers, you might want to. (Like replacing those crappy 5.25's originals) My rear speakers, 6x9's I had already mounted them in the rear hatch. (Replacing those crappy 5.25's).
