Question Headlights

Hi,
Which headlight brand is the best for a 2001 jeep cherokee?
I used a Japanese brand, but it did not work well.

Do the harness upgrade. It takes the load off the headlight switch, and the lights will be brighter for it. Search for Putco or H4 headlight upgrade, etc.. You can find them on ebay. Thats where i got mine. Part # H6054-HRNS.

The link jhc7399 posted is the harness i bought. Dont remember the price, but it was less than a Putco. Maybe $30 or so.

Definitely do the harness upgrade first. Here is a before and after of just the harness upgrade.

Does the harness upgrade really do anything for LED headlights since they draw less amps then a standard light? I havent tested voltage with the lights on so I have no idea if mine would benefit from it.

I am going to be doing the harness upgrade myself soon. But OP, as far as just a regular brand of headlight, ive noticed a very nice improvement with GE Nighthawks. Sylvania Xtravisions look too blue and arent quite as bright, and ive heard the Silverstars burn out fast.

I've had my Putco harness and Silverstars for I'd guess going on 5yrs now. Had one relay I had to replace early on. Silverstars are fine.

Even with leds the relays are a smart idea,They cut the power that goes through your headlight switch which will make it last longer. And the power has a short line to the headlights giving any headlight more power and faster.
