I had bought a headlight upgrade to accept the H4 bulbs and pluged the HID harness to my stock harness(plug and play) but with that kit you posted looks like it comes with everything you need

Thanks!
a retrofit would cost you anywhere from $270+ but you have to be prepared to do a little work.

I plan on doing a retrofit on my XJ here soon.

this local to me Cherokee has a retrofit. the parts you need will be as follows:

1 Set of Hella or Autopal housings(H4) $40-80(dependent on where you get them

1 Morimoto Mini Kit from TRS(http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=227)-$270+ shipping

There are plenty of websites that will tell you how to do a retrofit. Its really not that hard to do if your willing and able to do.

Damn.. that's out of my price range.. I just finished dropping a lot of cash into my XJ, can't drop a lot for a little while lol. Would that kit I posted then be fine for my budget then? Retrofitting looks nice but unfortunately it's not in my budget.

That kit will work but you will probably **** off everybody on the road with you. Those are crappy housing and don't have a proper projector for the HID bulbs.

Look into H4 housings not HIDs.

Ah, alright. So for example, could the Autopal housing work? Then I'd use the bulbs from that kit, or would I be buying HID bulbs?

No, you'd need H4 bulbs.

From amazon.com you can get:

AutoPal housings
Hella H4 bulbs
Putco Wiring harness

For under $80 shipped.

I just got that exact setup. I just haven't got the housing in yet. The harness alone made my sealed beams brighter.

Can you post links to the exact items on Amazon? I would like to order these, but want to make sure I get the right parts. Thanks

Yea give me a second. It'll be easier on my tab.

I just installed the housings and bulbs a min ago. I'll post some pics when I go re-aim them. I won't have any before shots for comparison though lol. Just realised that.

And i lied, a lil. My total was $84. You could get whatever bulbs you like though and keep it under 80. I just liked the thought of the 100w hi-beams.
