Maybe something like this

I have the bi-xenon true hi/lo shutter HID'S In a set of ebay projectors and yess. the pattern is even, and the glare isn't as bad like you said. But that's problem, I don't like the pattern. You can actually see were the light starts and stops. There are 2 V'S of light pointing out of the jeep at nite while you drive.
Plus it changed the color of the 6,000 HIDs to like a purple 12,000 color when you look at it from most angles. I don't likemas much..
I had the same HID'S in my h4 conversion light housings and they were brighter and lit' the area up in front of me better IMO.And they were the color I picked, 6,000.

Don't get me wrong, there good, But I just don't like the fact that the stream of light has sharp edges you can see, and just go from light to- no light. Theres edges of the light pattern. And they honestly are not as brite as they were in the regular glass style conversion lights.
I liked the regular lenses pattern better but with the HID'6k HI/LO's/

But everyone has diffenet tastes and styles. Just make sure you can return them just in case. If you want Ill get some pictures of them at nite to try and show you.

Heres a picture of projectors with 6,ooo HID-true HI-LO shutters.. As you can see,at certain angles the projectors change the color of the original 6k HIDs from a tint of blue/white in regular h4 conversion housings to a almost purple/pink color..
And besides the color being a lil' different, I don't really like the pattern at nite. You can actually see were the pattern starts and ends. Youll see the pattern and a inch to the side and theres no light at all. Think of spot lights compared to flood.
I liked how the regular h4 conversions- glass with internal reflectors was it compared to the projector. They had a combo of distance-spot & wide-flood combined with the HID's. The projectors don't have that flood of light in front of the jeep really.
To give you an Idea, I have the yellow stick on sheetz over the hella 500's. And they are distinguishly yellow in person.
don't mind the grille.. A deer didn't like my stock one so I threw this one I had in.

So I just picked up an 01 Cherokee and owner replaced the stock headlights with new Sylvania headlights. Since they are new I can't really justify switching them out even if they are sealed. I ordered the putco harness and plan to upgrade the bulbs. So my question is does the putco harness and newer H4 bulbs make it worthwhile?

Well first off the harness makes any headlight setup better because it is sending a full 12 volts to the headlights. And then it is a matter of what housings and bulbs you choose to go with. I have no experience with anything other than the harness and although my headlights need to be replaced they are still brighter than they were before the harness. I'd say put in the harness and see if you like the outcome it only took me a little while to do it. I did remove my whole front clip so it would be easier routing the wires. And make sure you grind the ground points down to bare metal to optimize the grounding ability.

So my next upgrade will be headlights. I was planning on getting the 80/100 Hella bulbs, Putco harness, and Autopal housings. However I was wondering if this is the best bang for my buck. A friend of mine has HIDs and loves them. I'm "eh" to them. Should I even consider going to HIDs?

That's what I figured. I never wanted HIDs, or to be "that guy", but road visibility is important.

That's what I'll do then. What's the difference between the 80/100 and 90?

Cheers

The autopals high beams focus put the light out pretty high lol but as far as a 10w difference ok the low beam pattern, I don't think it will matter. I wouldn't mind some 90/120's though hehe

4300-5000 HID'S are perfect.. And there best bang for your buck if you want good visibility.. I have the 5000 hi/lo 55w DC kit now, and theres a good diff' compared to the regualar 35W kit. And you don't have any warmup time, they switch rite on if you wire them up rite.

I use a set of cheap 20$ walmart driving lights mounted up top. or Rite on bumper in front of stock ones.. And if the get broke who cares get another set for 20$..
just wire them into the reverse lights or with a switch.. I did both.
On my new bigger-rig I just have one driving/fog light I mounted up quick under bumper on the fuel tank strap.. Its still there supprisingly after 4-5 months of woods action every week..
