Headlight replacement
first unscrew the whole corner piece the one arround binker, foglight and head light. unscrew side vertical blinker first and there is a screw at very bottom of corner. then there are 2 on the front, one by the head light and i think there is another that you can see pointing at the drivers seat once you remove the side blinker you can see it inside. once you get that corner piece off (remember which screws go where) then there will be 6 screws by the head light (DONT TOUCH THE ONES WITH SPRINGS) those are for aiming your headlights. you only have to remove the 4 arround the light and a rectangular piece of metal will come off and your light is free. then just pull it out a little but and unplug the back wiring harness. its like a relay plug. then installation just do opposite. the only thing that fights you is the corner blinker
There are several aftermarket H4 replacements out there, using the bulb and reflector principle. One that comes to mind is the Marchal. I used one on my bike for a good number of years, and I believe they are the only way to go. They give off a whiter light, and have the lens ground to cut off stray light that would normally blind oncoming drivers, and put little illumination on the road/trail.
the stock headlights are sealed beams so once theyre dead you tess them. I bought some kick A$$ lights on ebay for 20$ look on there. you can switch the bulbs and it has a secondary light and LED's arround the outside. super bright
