yea, im not quite sure , im really praying its still good, what is the head? is it cast or aluminum? im kind of nervous

 

no it is cast iron,it takes alot to ruin them.

so is it worth doing the lifters? are they simple to do while its all apart??

 

just went to the candy store (napa) got new plugs, wires , distributor cap, rotor, oil filter and anti freeze, taking the head off brining it to the machinist, 100 bucks for the clean test and resurface, wish me luck hopefully all goes well. also went to the junkyard and got the heater control valve

 

your wasting your time and Money if you didnt have it magna fluxed...if it turns out to be cracked after you just dumped 100 into it than that is gonna be on you...

the Lifters are only 2-3 dollars a piece and you need 12. if they werent making alot of rattling noise than you are prob ok...however mine sounded like a diesel.
