Oops. I was talkin bot where the wire was twisted together. Should actually be.the wire from.instrument dimmer.

yes your right, it was the harness for the stereo. the dimmers were twisted together. but had an aftermarket deck?? but thats what was heating up and melting my switch. because since i fixed it i havent had a problem. but it could be anything shorting out making the I.S. hot and touching contacts when it melts.

okay well i replaced my headlight switch and nothing. i fixed my stereo by direct wiring it to the battery. i cannot figure out the head light problem still.

The multi switch is the one that switches between brights and dim and controls tour cruise control and wipes. On the column.

so that is most likely whats wrong with it? and would that explain why my turn signals dont work neither?

haha Ding Ding. well ill go buy the part in the mornin and let yall know i painted the rims today while i was insalling the headlight switch take a look.

Like the Rims. Man wish I could be more help but without the jeep in front of me and a multimeter in hand.... its a crap shoot. I would star using a test light to check for voltage from the relay back.
