Now I know ur a troll for sure..I want that chick around to do my Jeep jobs, and serve me a beer afterwards, I doubt she would require jacking instruction

I met a lady not long ago, tall, slim & athletic, attractive & a few tatts..offered to attend my place and assist me work on my Jeep (said she used to own one)
With intense disappointment, I had to decline, as I just knew my Mrs would detonate the instant she laid eyes upon her lol

Every other car on the planet has this online. More evidence that this car is not worked on by regular folk.

If you can't figure out how to jack up your Jeep to take the front wheels off without a dissertation posted on online you have no business attempting to replace the brakes.

Society will be thankful you failed at removing the wheels.

I live in a townhouse and I have a single garage stall in the shared underground parking and I do all the work on my XJ there. I use the XJ as my tool storage/tool bench/flash light holder. You name it. And I can still get all of the work done that I need to. Even with a bottle jack and jack stands. No air compressor no fancy shop lights no lifts no floor jacks no grinders or anything of the sorts and I don’t even have cell service down there to google or YouTube stuff and I still get it all done. All while hiding my work from property management (I start a job and get it done in a single night)

I would definitely say an XJ is one of the simplest vehicles to work on without a doubt. If you aren’t mechanically inclined at all then try to learn a little more before giving up and blaming the Jeep.

You are making this way harder than it ever needed to be. You can lift the front of the vehicle using the center diff, and place the jackstands next to the lower control arm mounts, on the axle. There are images online covering this, front and rear. I found them easily. Heres my secret...

Step 1. Go to Google.com
Step 2. In the search box, type "Cherokee jack points" or "jackstands Jeep axle front" or "Jeep jacking axle" or similar. Vary your search and you will get different results.
Step 3. Click "Google Search".
Step 4. Click Images.
Step 5. Browse images. At the very bottom of the page is a box that reads "Show More Results".

Bing also works.

You can also find pointers in the "How-Tos" section here on the forums. The link is directly under the CF banner. If you cant find that, its here > https://www.cherokeeforum.com/how-to...our-car-398974

Youre welcome.

Like I said, not a single example anyone can post.
Just cute 9th grade school intellect
This car is NOT intended to be repaired by beginners.
Even a Lambo has jacking instructions on the internet

Cool, please post just one example that actually shows how and where to jack up the front.

you have got to be kidding me. Do you need a step by step to open the doors? What about to open the hatch? Perhaps how to refuel? These jobs are all about the equivalent of picking up the front of an xj with a jack.

a lambo is a unique vehicle. Its also a car. Cars have harder to find jack points. A jeep literally has a solid axle from which you can jack up from that you can literally see without even bending over to see, not to mention a frame that is easily found.

I really don't know what to make of this. What the OP states is so contrary to common experience that he almost has to be pulling our collective legs and having a good laugh. The reason that most videos don't show actually jacking up the XJ is most likely that it's so bleeding obvious how to do it if you just take a look under there. These are not exotic vehicles requiring arcane jacking procedures. (And I did post a video that shows one method of doing it. So he's wrong there as well.) As I think someone else observed, if a person can't figure out how to jack one of these Jeeps up they really should not be working on their brakes. The thought is actually kind of scary. Also as stated you have to know when to give up on a severely-rusted vehicle. That's why I finally bailed on my old AMC Eagle and bought an XJ.

If he really wants a vehicle easier to work on than an XJ he'll be hard-pressed to find one. Probably would need to move to something like this:

It has served its purpose. At this point its beating a dead horse. We try to help him, whether it be by links or clear explanation, and still he complains. Even with simple instructions on how to use Google, which was an attempt to provide him with another means of finding the info (or in this case, images) hes looking for, becomes another complaint. He will express his disgust with older vehicles, take it elsewhere, and be his way. Its not long before another thread pops up. So we offer assistance once again, which usually ends up the same way, expressing his disgust with older vehicles and taking it elsewhere.

I tried to atleast offer something of value. A way out so he wouldnt always have to depend on others. It didint seem welcome. I give up.
