... removing the bolt holding it on usually is a pretty good start...

I saw a guy's post..he got at it from the bottom with the radiator in. I haven't done my 4.0. You need a puller of course.

Rent a harmonic balancer puller from your local parts store, remove the serpentine belt and the bolt that holds the balancer on (and the giant washer, I forgot that part... DOH!) and attach the puller. Remove the balancer but be careful that you don't knock the key into the timing chain cover. My key was stuck in place so I just left it and stuck the new pulley on, tightened, reinstalled serpentine belt, tensioned, done.
