seth im confused that looks like a brandnew intake manifold getting installed in the pic you posted? i cleaned all my fuel intake and for that matter the whole top of the cranckcase with Seafoam its available at all parts stores. i actually had a bad problem with the injectors i removed them soaked them in seafoam and cleaned them really well with a soft toothbrush replaced the o rings and reinstalled them it puuurrrs like a kitten!!!! the cranck case was full of crud and gunk i used seafoam in there as well and after 20 miles i can see the lifters again !!!! i suggest if you do this to change the oil a couple of times sooner than usual to insure you get it all out!! thats just how my cheap redneck self does it!!! LOL
i purchased this 89 xj to build as a trail rig for $500 and i dont think anybody ever took care of this thing it barely ran just a little tlc and it runs strong!!! hard to kill the 4.0. oh yeah you can add the seafoam to your fuel as well!!!

Get it media blasted, either with walnut shells, plastic or soda. Then prep it for paint, i.e. wipe/spray/dunk the hell out of it, then clear coat the snot out of it. That will get it like the pic. If you want it uber-cool, either get it chromed or powder coated in whatever color you want. Hell, get it jet-hot coated for that matter.

This intake manifold is one specifically made to accept a supercharger. Notice that platform part where the supercharger bolts onto.
