Default Grinding sound

There us a grinding sound coming from the front of the transmission. Tots there from start up to shut off. Haven't really driven it because of this sound but it seems to be doing fine goes into gear. Moves. No burning smells. Etc. Need some help. Not the starter and and don't think it's loose bolts and such.

More details are needed about your vehicle. Such as auto or manual?

Easy check is to remove the inspection cover behind the oil pan and check for a cracked or warped flexplate. Can cause different sounds depending on how bad it is. The sound can vary depending on braking and gas pedal inputs.

Some good videos on youtube to troubleshoot the flex plate before digging into things. Hope it is something simple for you.

X2. Assess it well before messing with it or taking it somewhere. There are about a million videos. So you don't get ripped off. A lot of the time it's loose bolts or dirt.

The inspection plate is off. I've checked the flexplate. It's fine. It's an 01 rwd automatic. Is there a way I can post video so I can show the sound? And I can't find anything on it that sounds similar. I've checked videos and all.
