Default Grinding going into park with very little pull

When I try to put my 2001 Cherokee into park it has a grinding sound. And when it is in gear on the jack the wheels will turn but when it is off of the jack the pull is so little that it won't go. When I hit the gas it just revs up. I had the tranny rebuilt 2yrs ago and this was a sudden thing. Please help!

Could be many things. The first thing to check will be the transmission fluid level. Have you done that yet? (not enough fluid in the torque converter can cause the symptoms you mention - spinning in the air but not on the ground).
