grand cherokee d30 on a xj?
my d30 on my xj is really bad. basically someone lifted it but was to lazy or whatever, and cut/re-welded everything. but then angled everything. and the u-pull it here has about 5 zj's. would it be a direct bolt up or heavy mods? anyone ever do it. im looking to make this thing so i can drive it on the street. without buying another jeep
dont worry when i get a little bit further on my rebuild i will post a build thread. im taking out all of the ghetto rigging.

im assuming their bolt patterns are the same if not you can buy an adapter for it. you shouldn't have to buy a new jeep. how did you get such a mess of a jeep anyways lol

ZJ is a direct bolt in but is low pinion like a TJ. Same bolt pattern, just watch out for CV axles. All your stuff will interchange except ring and pinion.

Thanks for the input guys. Went to Dixie junk yard today and found a Cherokee front with the same gears. Also got some 4" fender flares in perfect condition. It isn't a u-pull it deal but I pick everything up on Monday. I think it was a productive day for me.
