Default Got the Neon Injectors!!!

Ok....I got a 96 Cherokee 4.0 ((Non HO))
I spent over 2 hours looking in the PickNPull looking for these damn things just to learn its impossible to find a Neon with a 2.4L

Sooo...I got these 703's out of a pair of Stratus's and soaked them in STP fuel injector cleaner for 20 minutes, then soaked em in Lucas fuel injector cleaner while I pulled the stock injectors out and put the ECU in leaning mode.
Replaced all the seals and slapped the 703's in.

Primed the fuel rail a couple of times. Then tried to start.....*click click*....*click click*....*click click Vrooommm*...*stutter stutter* *VROOM VROOM!!!*

I pulled out the driveway and gave a little gas, still stuttering...Pulled onto my main road, and hit it!...

What a difference. I was amazed!
Much better acceleration all the way around and much faster throttle response. Even my girl in the passenger seat was gripping the "oh ****" handle a little tighter than usual.

Dont know the mileage difference yet, but
Just wanted to say....EXCELLENT UPGRADE!!!

I thought anything after '91 or '92 had an HO 4.0. Did you swap your motor?

I also got the Neon injectors for my '99. I love this upgrade!

I believe they stopped labeling it HO on the tailgate in '96, but it's still a HO motor if it's the 4.0 and not swapped.

Ah I see...Well then its just the stock 4.0 with an AEM cold air kit and a GC altenator.
THe injectors work great!!

Check the other threads for different motors. But these were the recommended kind.

I jus cleaned em up with a toothbrush and two different kinds of injector cleaner. THey were nasty, but shined after the cleaning.

What a difference!

I put em in my 90 and it was the best thing I ever did. 90 and 88 are exactly the same, both use the renix system. Plug and play. Pull old, put new on.

Got mine from the JY, soaked them over night in injector cleaner and put em on the next day. Throttle response and idle were amazing. Yet to see the MPG gain, but I can tell already it's an improvement.

I started at 15 mpg with the old injectors, now I'm getting an honest 18mpg with a set of Neon 703s.
