Default A good stock replacement leaf spring brand ?

Ive looked into, Crown, ada-omix and dorman and from what I have found is that they are not very good quality.

I found Rancho and A brand called procomp but they only have lifted leafs and i am not sure of their quality.

Anyone know of a good stock leaf?

Thanks.

As far as quality springs and leafs one company has excellent ones all American made and hold up very well over time, at least on my XJ for going on 3 yrs. and zero sag.

That company id Rustys Off Road and have all lift sizes along with some very high dollar race springs. They sell and excellent quality entry level lift kit at a great price with full leafs and springs. My leafs are always overloaded on the trail so personally know they hold up well.

All in all no good reason to goo back with a stock leaf pack when you could do a small lift for a better price and if they are worn you will need new coils also.

I really dont want to put on a cheap spring and I have no need for a lift.

I checked rustys website and it says made in north america wich is ok but, I can only find a 3.5 lift spring.

i will give them an email, maybe they have something not on the website.

Thanks.

I don't know what reviews you've been reading. I went with Dorman 929-301 springs because of the good reviews. I ended up about an inch and a half over stock, but once they settle in, I'm thinking I'll be right around 1 inch over stock, which I'm okay with.

The ride is a lot smoother than what I was expecting from a heavy duty spring, and they have a lifetime warranty. I know you said you didn't want "cheap" springs, but even though these were very affordable, I wouldn't call them "Cheap".

Hope you find what you're looking for though. Rusty's has some great products, so hopefully they can get you hooked up. I'll be interested to see what springs you finally go with and how happy you are once you have them installed. I researched it for a few weeks before finally settling on the Dorman's. I really wanted OME's but couldn't find any stock height options from them.

I saw all the good reviews of the dormans and thats what I was going to go with until I found out they are made in china.
I have had a bad experience with crown (not springs) and have read over and over that ada-omix is junk.
I did find stock springs on rustys but they look like the dormans.

If it comes down to it I will reluctantly go with the dormans.

Thanks.

When mine showed up, they were marked as "Made in Columbia"... still not the U.S., but at least not China. LOL

But like I said, whatever you go with, I'll be curious to see how they work out for you, just because I took so long to decide myself and will always wonder if I made the right choice. Couldn't be happier right now, but if these springs give out in a year, then you'll see me telling everyone to avoid Dorman. LOL.

If they are made in columbia I will go with them. I dont really need a lift and I dont want to have to put on lift springs on the front.

Thanks.

I know you dont want a lift...but if you can bear it...go with Old man Emu springs.. I think they come in a 2" configuration.

If anything you could use a small spring spacer up front to compensate for the rear height..

They've been on for a week now, and I just went out to measure them again and snapped a couple of pictures. The back measure 18" from center of the hub to bottom of the flare. I believe stock is supposed to be 17 or 17.5, IIRC. They've settled about a half inch from last weekend, and I don't think they'll settle much more, so I'll probably be a tad over stock when its all said and done. My fronts measure 17" from the center of the hub to the bottom of the flare, which I believe is half an inch low... might just be the angle its parked on in my driver way, or it might be my oem front springs are worn out too (Most likely this), so it gives me a slight rake, which I am okay with, since over the summer, I'll be loading this up with family and camping gear and heading into the woods.

Here's a picture of the back, how its sitting today.

And here's how the front looks

I looked everywhere for these. OME doesn't make a 2" anymore that fits the XJ. 3" is the smallest they offer now.

XJ88, Thanks for the tip. I checked out OME but they are a little out of my budget considering I still have to buy front springs, an alternator and I havent even looked at the steering components I need.
This is going to be my DD.
Its not a 4x4 but if it were I would definately go with OME.

Forever, thanks for the pics.

I found a place close to home that has them for $97 and free shipping.

My Dormans were made in Columbia also.

They leveled out the Jeep, to 18" all around.

My front springs are still factory.
