Default Gmc jimmy tow hooks

So I grabbed some tow hooks from the junkyard and I was wondering of anyone's ever done it. I plan on either sticking them right into the frame with the bolts from the jimmy of course doing some grinding first. But something like this:

Plan on cutting and sanding holes on the bumper. But I was wondering of anyone has taken This road. the hooks will work like this right, screwed right into the frame just like the truck they came off of?

These are pulling evenly on both sides at once the single hook would be only one side .

Hook on both sides and a row rope that connects the hooks lol.

I'm probably going to get a hitch or a new heavy duty bumper. But I gotta get my lift first.
