Default GEN light came on.

I had to go to the store. I started my 96 Cherokee. Had not drove in two months. It started right up. Four blocks later GEN light comes on.
I have Gauge, and Needle was all the way left around 8 volts.
I turned around and went home. Opened hood. Belt is fine.
Radiator coolant was on everything. Mostly in the area of the cap.
The air filter housing and hood above that area was soaked with coolant.
She is off work and she took my keys so I would work on the "Honey-Do" list.
I wish I knew what happened. Not allowed to look at it until the 5th of January at least.
Any ideas?

Did it overheat? hose leaking? Sounds like the belt might be slipping due to the antifreeze causing the alt to not turn at proper speed.

No overheating, did not even get to operating temp.
ScanGuage said 172 degrees. I immediately looked.
Just four blocks slowly down a residential street.
Slick antifreeze probably caused slippage.
It was night and lights were on so we had draw.

I am dying to find out where coolant came from.
But she is the main source of income, so I am basically her slave because of the Golden Rule. The one that makes the gold makes the rules.
I make $243 dollars a month. So that makes her ten times better than me.
When she allows me to have my keys back I will look under the hood.
At least she didn't lock the modem up again.
I usually get the modem taken away if I don't do what she says.
I hope it is not something I have to buy. I have no money to leave the house now. Let alone buy parts. Let the begging begin...
