Gear Ratios

have a 94 xj 4.0 manual ax15
currently has:

front d30 rear 8.25
issue is 3.07 gearing.. (poor performance)

regear what i have to 3.55 or just yank 3.55 axles out of the boneyard??

Get a 8.25 with 3.55 from a junkyard and kill two birds with one stone

Yeah I done think regearing is going to be worth only going to 355. What size tires are you running?

And when you get junk yard axles, get the 8.25 from a 97-01, it's stronger then yours
