Does anyone know what gear ratio is in a stock 92 XJ?

Most common is 3.55 but some have been seen with 3.73 and I think even 4.10's but don't quote me..I do know that 3.55 is the most common for automatics.

If you have a 4.0 liter, it's a 99% chance of 3.55s. If you have a 2.5, it's prolly 4.10s. HTH!!

So basically I need to find an XJ with a 2.5 and 4.10 front and rear axles and I'd be set...

I would be careful. With the 4.0 im almost betting that you have a 3.07 gear ratio. thats what my '93 had

i thought with the 2.5, it was only the 5 speeds that had 4.10s.. (?)

my friends zj has 3.73s but i know most xjs with the 4.0 and AW4 have 3.55s
