Default gear oil

ok i went to go buy gear oil for my jeep i have the 8.25 in my 97 i asked the guy he looked it up and said 75 90 so i bought some i looked on the back it says not for limited slip what do i need im confused

you can either buy the gear oil 75w 90 with LS additive in it or just go buy the additive, they sell it separate.. I use the Royal Purple and it has it in there already, the RP isnt cheap though..

Yes the 75w90 is the stuff but with the additive. I use Lucas gear oil myself but royal purple is good stuff too.

i think i have a open diff when i spen one side the other goes the other whay

Sounds like open diff....no special lube or additive needed.
