Default Gauges in your XJ!

So I've decided that once my Tranny and T-case is rebuilt I'm going to add a Trans temp gauge from autometer. Now problem is, should I install an oil temp gauge as well? I know trans temp gauges are good to have...but no too sure if I'm wasting money on oil temp. Advice? Also post pics of any of your gauges that you may have! THANX!

Na an oil temp gauge. Autometer makes em. Stock XJs have oil pressure so I'm not worried on that.

So I got a FREE (yes free) AX-15 Tranny and NP-231 T-Case I will be rebuilding and installing hopefully by middle of NOV. Now I really want the trans temp sensor...does anyone have one from autometer in their rigs? I want the electric full sweep...but don't know what I'll need to install it other than the pod and the gauge...PLEASE ADVISE?

Agreed. Never heard of a burned up man trans. Now if they made a Clutch temp sensor then you would be all good.

I'm going to be towing quite a bit with it...still think a waste of money? If so then by all means I won't spend the money...I just figured it'd be handy...

Yes you would be wasting your money. Unless of course you are going to install two differential temp gauges, a canooter valve pressure regulator, and a blinker fluid dipstick.

I just got an awesome deal on 10 liters of headlight fluid when they replaces the air in my tires!!!!

I think it would be a waste. The gauges I would install would be a Air/Fuel mixture gauge, and maybe a air intake temp gauge. Just my .02.
