My gauge needles are jumping all over the place. Doesn't matter if I'm pushing on the gas or at a stop sign... It's like they have a mind of their own..... What is causing this? Thanks

 

Almost has to be a wiring ground, but where I don't know that would affect all of them. At the computer possibly?

 

Have you checked the condition of the battery terminals and cleaned them up? Clean the battery posts as well and see if it stabilizes the gauges.

 

Every gauge? Even the speedometer?

Will a battery that's almost shot do this on a jeep?

 

Speedo and rpm gauges. Battery is new and cables look good but I'll check again.
I had installed the indigo gauges and the guy cut the bottom end of the needles slightly so I thought it was that .( a balance thing) .. I don't know but it's crazy.
I'm guessing a wiring issue from the gauge install. Worked fine for about a week...

That would have helpful at the start but with aftermarket modified gauges who knows. You need to get in touch with the guy that installed/cut them and see or call the vender on them.

 

Ok so it isn't the indigo gauge overlays I unhooked those but the gauge needles are still jumping all the place while driving?

What could this be? Battery is new .
